The Vermont Grape & Wine Council is a cooperative organization of wine producers deeply connected to our Vermont landscape. The VGWC promotes and supports grape & fruit growing and winemaking grounded in a mission to diversify and develop our agricultural roots and increase Vermont wine-related tourism, education and culture.

Vermont wine is a unique and integral part of the regenerative and agricultural identity of our region.

Welcome

“Vermont is full of talented, driven…winemakers.”

John McCarrol, WINE ENTHUSIAST

Defy the norm.

Embrace the terroir.

Vermont is home to a small but growing wine region. Regional grape varieties such as Marquette, Frontenac, and La Crescent thrive here, and make delicious and world-class wines. Our region is also rich with beekeepers and apple & other fruit growers. Our wines, meads, and ciders reflect the food culture, the geology and geography, the agriculture and landscape of our state.
