The Vermont Grape & Wine Council is a cooperative organization of wine producers deeply connected to our Vermont landscape. The VGWC promotes and supports grape & fruit growing and winemaking grounded in a mission to diversify and develop our agricultural roots and increase Vermont wine-related tourism, education and culture.

Vermont is home to a small but growing wine region. Regional grape varieties such as Marquette, Frontenac, and La Crescent thrive here, and make delicious and world-class wines. Our region is also rich with beekeepers and apple & other fruit growers. Our wines, meads, and ciders reflect the food culture, the geology and geography, the agriculture and landscape of our state.
